A Couples’ Preparation Class for Labor & Birth
Birth is unpredictable—but you don’t have to walk into it feeling unprepared.
When contractions begin, the difference between fear and confidence often comes down to knowing how to breathe, move, and lean on each other.
That’s why I created Labor with Grace, an interactive in-person class for expectant parents who want to step into birth feeling calm, confident, and connected.
This isn’t a lecture or a full childbirth education series—it’s hands-on, practical, and designed to give you and your partner real tools for coping, advocating, and working as a team during labor.
Who This Class Is For
First-time parents who want to feel grounded heading into labor.
Couples who want to strengthen teamwork and practice coping techniques together.
Families who prefer practical tools over overwhelming amounts of information.
Parents planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth who want partner-centered support.
Holistically-minded families who value blending movement, breath, and advocacy.
What You’ll Learn
I’ll guide you through the essentials that make the biggest difference in labor—breath, movement, comfort, and communication. You’ll learn how to:
Breathe through contractions with simple, effective patterns you can adapt in the moment.
Move with labor using upright, forward-leaning, and resting positions (including a mini yoga flow).
Ease discomfort naturally with touch, massage, counterpressure, and partner-supported positions.
Shape your birth environment with affirmations, lighting, music, and scent.
Advocate together using the BRAIN framework to navigate decisions and protect your birth space.
Work as a team when things feel intense—through breath, words, and physical support.
You’ll Walk Away With
Confidence in your ability to handle contractions together.
A set of practical coping techniques you can trust in the moment.
Partner tools for touch, pressure, and advocacy.
A mini-sequence of yoga-based positions for labor.
Shared language for making decisions as a team.
A deeper sense of connection heading into birth.

About Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn Grace! I hold a Master of Arts in Physical Activity & Health, and I’m both a certified doula and a certified prenatal yoga teacher.
My background blends evidence-based education, mindful movement, and the power of community. I believe motherhood was never meant to be done alone, and I’m passionate about helping women and couples feel grounded, confident, and connected as they prepare for birth and beyond.
I created Labor with Grace to give you more than information—I want you to leave with embodied practices you can draw on the moment labor begins.
Alongside this class, I also offer prenatal and postnatal yoga, labor & birth prep classes, as well as 1:1 coaching to support you in clarifying your vision, aligning with your values, advocating for yourself, choosing a provider who truly supports your goals, and practicing practical tools and techniques from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond—so you always have a steady guide through every stage of your motherhood journey.
I truly believe (and the research also says!) that birth is the beginning, postpartum is forever, and grace is how we meet it. This is the heart of matrescence—the powerful transformation of becoming a mother.
